Our old friends, Honolulu's Galliard String Quartet, return to Hilo to concertize with woodwinds from the Spring Wind Quintet in several groupings. With the Danzi's Bassoon Quartet and the beautiful Brahms' Clarinet Quintet (widely regarded as that composers supreme achievement in the field of chamber music) as well as music by UH Manoa composer Neil McKay among the offerings, CMH will send us happily into summer. The concert starts at 7:30 pm at the University of Hawaii at Hilo Performing Arts Center.
