A VERY SPECIAL EVENT
(not part of the HCS Season)
Written in 1979 by Peter Shaffer,
Amadeus is loosely based on the
lives of composers Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart and Antonio
Salieri, from the perspective of
Salieri, who cannot reconcile
Mozart’s boorish behavior with the
massive genius that God has inexplicably
bestowed upon him. The
play was made into a film, which
won the Academy Award in 1984 for
Best Film. Amadeus will be performed
by U.H.H. Performing Arts
Department students and by actors
from the East Hawaii community.
Prices for these tickets (see ticket outlets)
General Admission: $17
Seniors: $12
Students: $10
