The courtship and marriage of Robert and Clara Schumann is one of the most poignant love stories in human history. In commemoration of Robert Schumann’s 200th birthday, we present this very special concert, with the Van De Graaffs singing some of the Schumanns’ greatest songs and duets and sharing the story of their courtship, their love, their life together, and their beautiful music. Staged and costumed with authentic dress of the period.

The applause [they] received throughout and the standing ovation at the end of the program speak for themselves” - Richard Osborne
